Description: The SY429PC-816 card offers up to 8 ARINC 429 transmitter channels and 16 ARINC 429 receiver channels in a full size ISA PC bus card. The modular construction of the card allows it to be populated in increments of 2 transmit and 4 receive channels to provide variants of the card with either 2 Tx by 4 Rx channels, 4 Tx by 8 Rx channels or 6 Tx by 12 Rx channels. Data for transmission is written to FIFO buffers where it is held until transmitted. Received data is automatically time-stamped and stored in cyclic buffers. The card is programmed by the host processor via a few directly addressable control registers. Once set up, the host processor need only write transmit data to the board and, when required, read received data addressed by channel, label and SDI. The received data can be filtered by Channel, Label, SDI and SSM, and the selected ARINC-429 words stored at specific locations in a Current Value Table (CVT), from where it can be easily monitored by the host system. The filter can also be used to trigger interrupts on reception of selected words. The receive configuration is achieved by data written to a Receive Personality Table (RPT). |
