Software Engineering Opportunity at Sycos

The successful applicant will need to be formally qualified, preferably to degree level or above and have at least 10 years experience in software development. The successful applicant will work closely with the electronics design engineering to produce software to functionally test products during commissioning and later for testing products coming out of production.

The successful applicant will need experience of developing:

Real Time Application Software
Windows Based Test Software

Low Level Hardware Drivers

Experience in some of the following development environments and languages would be an advantage:

C and C++
Visual Basic, Visual C, Delphi
LabWindows or LabView
Real Time OS9, PDOS, VxWorks
68k and i80x86 assembly languages
Windows Device Drivers

Understanding of electronic circuitry would be a significant advantage.

All software development will need to be documented and controlled according to procedures recognised to ISO9000 standard.

The successful applicant will, in collaboration with Design Engineering, produce product User Manuals, which are part of the finished product, and support customer enquiries as becomes necessary.
