Electronics Technician Opportunity at Sycos

The successful applicant will need to be formally qualified, preferably to ONC or OND level, and have been working in a development/test environment for at least 10 years. The primary role is for testing product coming out of manufacture, using software and systems already existing within the facility. However, the successful candidate will also be involved in the commissioning of new product, working alongside the design engineers and therefore knowledge and experience in using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers will be an essential part of daily activity.

The ability to fault find electronic circuitry with minimal assistance would be a significant advantage in production test.

The successful applicant will need experience of the following disciplines:
Re-work of printed circuit boards containing surface mount parts
Inspection of products coming out of manufacture
Cleaning & final assembly of tested products
Producing wiring looms
Documenting test procedures
Working to recognised quality standards (ISO9000)

The successful candidate will need 20:20 vision to be able to re-work circuit boards and possibly assemble prototypes, as necessary. Appropriate optical equipment will be available for use in product inspection.

The ability to work within a small team is an essential requirement for any successful applicant.
